Without clean air, essential technologies such as flat screens, laptops, hard disk drives, batteries, the solar industry, and data centres would face significant challenges. Microfine dust particles and pollutant molecules entering highly sensitive areas, such as semiconductor manufacturing or those containing sensitive electronic products, can cause damage, jeopardise manufacturing yields and, in the worst cases, even ignite fires and trigger explosions, for example in battery gigafactories. As modern hardware comes with extreme lithography technologies (below 10nm), it becomes increasingly sensitive to ultrafine particles or airborne molecular contamination (AMC), which can be detrimental to manufacturing yields. In datacenters, corrosion in electronics is a critical and harmful issue; when in a gigafactory, dry room operations need very clean air to avoid dangerous chemical reactions. That’s why effective air filtration is essential for both staff safety and the protection of electronic components, devices, machines, and processes — and, therefore, absolutely vital for a company’s economic success.

  • Our highly efficient particle filters reliably remove fine dust of various particle sizes from the air. Fully versatile, they can be used as pre-filters and main filters in existing ventilation systems, including semiconductor air conditioners. 
  • Our molecular filters are effective and incredibly efficient in combating AMC in microelectronics. Airborne molecular contaminants have a maximum diameter of 100 nanometres. They include acids, bases, condensable contaminants, dopants, molecular metals, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These contaminants can all jeopardise the health of employees, significantly disrupt production processes, and impair the functionality of microelectronic and optical products, for instance, through corrosion or condensation. With molecular filters, our customers can avoid high costs for downtimes and repairs.
  • ​​We minimise energy consumption in production facilities thanks to our advanced filtration technology that actually reduces energy use while enhancing filter performance. This strategy enables our customers to save energy which, in turn, also reduces their TCO (total cost of ownership).
