What do we process your data for and on what legal basis?

Data is processed to provide access to the webinar to which you register. It is necessary to process your data in order to complete and fulfil the participation agreement with you according to art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. Moreover, data is processed in order to make contact with you after the webinar in order  to ensure our authorised interests according to art. 6 para. 1 lit. f). Our authorised interests consist of compensating our costs for the free provision with appropriate advertising measures as well as acquiring information about participation intensity for product improvement.


What type of data do we process?

We process the following categories of data: Master data (for example, name and company name) and communication data (for example, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address). We collect statistics regarding whether and how long the webinar application is the focus in the scope of participation in the webinar. This data is only available to the webinar organiser. We only process the data which you provide to us in the context of advertising measures: if necessary, further information about your company or your position as well as further contact data.


To whom do we transfer your data?

The departments within our company which require access in order to fulfil our obligations are given access. We will transfer your data to the webinar software operator insofar as this is required for processing the participation agreement.


Is data transferred to third countries or an international organisation?

No. Your data is transferred within the EU.

Please do not register for the webinar if you do not agree to this. There is no transfer to an international organisation.


How long do we save your data?

Your data is immediately deleted upon your objection, unless deletion contravenes legal retention obligations.


Is there an obligation to provide data?

It is necessary to process the data collected in order to complete and carry out the agreement between yourself and us. If we cannot process the data, we cannot fulfil our contractual obligations to you. We must terminate the agreement if you object to the data processing. This does not apply if you only object to processing for the purposes of advertising.


What data protection rights do you have?

If the legal prerequisites are present, you have the following rights according to art. 15 to 22 GDPR:

the right to information, correction, deletion, processing restriction and to data portability. You also have a right to object against processing according to art. 13 para. 2 lit. b) in connection with art. 21 GDPR, which is based on art. 6 para. 1. lit. f) GDPR.

You have the right  to complain to any supervisory authority for data protection according to art. 77 GDPR if you are of the opinion your data is being processed illegally. The address for our company and the responsible supervisory authority is:

Information about your objection right according to art. 21 GDPR:

You have the right to submit an objection to the processing of personal data which concerns you which occurs according to art. 6, para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (data processing for balancing of interests) at any time for reasons which result from your specific situation . If you submit an objection, we will no longer process your personal data, unless we can prove mandatory, protection-worthy reasons for it which outweigh your interests or if processing serves the enforcement of legal claims or defence against such claims.

You have the right to submit an objection against the processing of personal data for advertising purposes. If you object to the processing for advertising purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.
