An Invisible Threat
COVID-19 changed how the world, governments, and financial markets have functioned over the past 3 years. Schools, hospitals, offices, and many other environments became aware of invisible threats. Respiratory diseases, which are spread from human to human primarily through airborne droplet nuclei according to ASHRAE, occur when an infected person talks, coughs, sneezes, or sings. While filtration and air purifiers are not the single solutions to protecting ourselves from viruses and bacteria, they are important mitigation factors in reducing the risk of airborne transmission.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the importance of healthy air quality has been reaching new levels.
In one summer our teams at MANN+HUMMEL created four mobile air purifiers to help combat the corona pandemic. It was a common effort to solve the most uncommon challenge.
