FreciousComfort - can do more than conventional filters for HVAC systems
Allergy sufferers can now breathe deeply. The new FreciousComfort air filter series for HVAC systems not only handles fine dust with an efficiency of ePM1 50% to ePM1 60%. Thanks to anti-allergenic and anti-microbial functions, it also blocks free allergens and inhibits the growth of mold and bacteria. This reduces allergic reactions and increases the well-being of people indoors.
A series with additional odour and gas adsorption, FreciousComfort Carboactiv is currently in preparation.
28% of adults in Europe suffer from allergies (Robert Koch Institute, 2017)

The anti-allergenic function is achieved by a coating of polyphenol. This natural substance binds more than 95% of free allergens and makes them harmless. Free allergens are the smallest protein particles and the actual triggers of allergic reactions. They are released when pollen bursts due to mechanical stress when it hits the filter.
In conventional filter media mold and bacterial growth can occur. Reasons: Filters retain a very high number of airborne germs and microorganisms. The combination with other dirt particles and moisture promotes growth.
The antimicrobial coating prevents such growth as an effective barrier. This keeps the clean side of the filter really clean.
The powerful filter medium catches even the smallest particles, such as particulate matter (ISO 16890 ePM1 50 – 60 %).
Natural polyphenol inactivates free allergens.
Prevents bacteria and molds from penetrating to the clean side.
The activated carbon layer removes unpleasant odours and harmful gases such as ozone, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
