The anti-allergenic function is achieved by a coating of polyphenol. This natural substance binds more than 95% of free allergens and makes them harmless. Free allergens are the smallest protein particles and the actual triggers of allergic reactions. They are released when pollen bursts due to mechanical stress when it hits the filter.
In conventional filter media mold and bacterial growth can occur. Reasons: Filters retain a very high number of airborne germs and microorganisms. The combination with other dirt particles and moisture promotes growth.
The antimicrobial coating prevents such growth as an effective barrier. This keeps the clean side of the filter really clean.
The powerful filter medium catches even the smallest particles, such as particulate matter (ISO 16890 ePM1 50 – 60 %).
